Empower Muay Thai has three levels of classes and clinics so that you can tailor your own program to meet your needs. You can master the basics or take advanced training from our specific style that has been successfully used in the ring by amateur and professional fighters. We are about choice and empowerment as determined by you.
Our pressure-free Youth Muay Thai classes have two levels: Mini Nak Muay and Junior Nak Muay. Youth students will participate in our ranking system, which is based on teacher and peer recognition rather than strict curriculum. This highly individual system is in alignment with traditional Muay Thai ranking.
We offer private and semi-private lessons in Muay Thai, women's self defense, and custom fitness programs.
Try one of our programs to be a Nak Muay on your terms. Empower yourself with Muay Thai.

This program concentrates on the foundations of Muay Thai on which to build. Whether you are new to the sport or a professional competitor, acquiring and maintaining strong basic skills are essential to improvement and overall enjoyment of the sport.
Examples of what students will learn:
Students in this program will hone skills they have learned while building on them and putting together effectively.
Examples include:
Here Nak Muays will continue to work on higher level strikes while maintaining proficiency in fundamentals.
Nak Muays working on proficiency will:
Little ones can be Nak Muays too! This program is developed specifically to the behavioral and physical developmental level of children in this age range. They will enjoy getting energy out on pads with games designed specifically to build coordination and skill without getting hit by their peers, (or anyone else,) taxing little musculoskeletal systems, or teaching them it's okay to hit people for fun.
Children advance to the next level based on their individual progression as well as physical and mental maturity. Becuase of this, the age ranges are not firm, but advancement is agreed upon by coach, parent, and Nak Muay.
Please note that Empower Muay Thai instructors are trained and experienced in working with children with special needs.
At this age, Nak Muays have more hand-eye coordination and can put learn more complex skills. They also often desire to train to become proficient in something physical. Because of this, our junior program is similar to our fundamentals program.
These Nak Muays will learn:
There will be no strength training for prepubescent Nak Muays, as it is inappropriate for their physical development.
Sunday through Friday our Empower Cardio hours are offered to all members of Rise Up Brazilian Jiu Jitsu programs, or you can sign up for the Empower Cardio program alone.
During these hours you can come in to work the stations on your own or with minimal instruction.
There is no structured class, but instructors will be available to answer questions.
Circuit training workouts and round timers are available for use at this time.

While traditional Muay Thai practiced in Thailand does have a ranking system, the sport as it is in the US rarely uses one, or when it does it bears little resemblance to the Thai tradition. While we pride ourselves on honoring the roots of Muay Thai and teaching true Muay Thai at Empower Muay Thai, we recognize that the primary measure for gaining rank in Thailand, one's fight record, does not apply to us. Therefore we will use the other aspects of dedicated training to assess our Nak Muays.
Traditional Nak Muays wear armbands called Pra Jiads to indicate more than rank. They signal a fighter's dedication to sportsmanship, hard work, growth, and loyalty to name a few recognitions. There are three ranks in Thailand:
Additional recognitions can include
